GORILLA ROCK/BOOROOMBA ROCKS

From Honeysuckle Creek Campground, follow the AAWT for around 2.5km, before heading NW off-track, for just over 1km, to Gorilla Rock, for morning tea. Then return back to the AAWT and continue past the Booroomba Rocks carpark for an early lunch, before continuing along the track to the junction of the Mt Tennant Fire Trail and then on to Apollo Road, where there will be a car parked. If there is rain or the scrub is wet, we may omit Gorilla Rock and maybe go to Booroomba Rocks instead. (I go soaked in the wet scrub last time.)
The walk involves some 2.5km of off-track, with medium/thick scrub, and some rock scrambling and uneven ground. A car shuffle will also be required.
Distance: Around 15-16km, with 400-450m or so of ascends.
Petrol: around $12.
