 pper Cotter Catchment Wednesday, 10th of June **Leader:** Dave Abela for
  CBC, 0482 802 050 or tangodancing4me@gmail.com We’ll start our walk n
 ot too far from Urriara Village then make our way on fire trails to the 
 Upper Cotter Catchment area. This is a surprisingly easy and delightful 
 walk which has magnificent views of the upper reaches of Cotter Lake and
  the upper Cotter River. For most of this loop, we’ll be traversing th
 rough the untouched native forests of the water catchment area. We’ll 
 go around Condor Hill and then have our lunch on a grassy slope with a g
 randstand view of Lake Cotter. The walking on this loop is very easy goi
 ng as it’s all on fire trails. The forecast at this stage for next Wed
 nesday looks like some rain(?)…there is something soothing about walki
 ng in forest country on a rainy day! There are some small sections of th
 e trail with moderate hills, loose rocks and small shrubs, but apart fro
 m this, it’s a really easy 13 kms or so. Maps: Cotter 1:25,000 Distanc
 e: 13 kms Ascent/Descent: 180 mtrs Track Description: All on fire trails

 this, it’s a really easy 13 kms or so. Meeting Time: 8.15 am for an 8.
 30 am start Meeting Place: Meet at the Dillon Close tennis courts carpar
 k, opposite MacDonalds, Cooleman Court. We’ll carpool from there. Tran
 sport: Meet at Dillon Close, then carpool from there. $5 per passenger. 
 Weather for next Wednesday: 5C to 15C. 3 - 10mm of rain. What to Bring: 
 Day-pack, warm clothing, raincoat, hat, 2 litres of water, morning tea a
 nd lunch. Walking poles if you wish. *Those doing their first Wednesday 
 walk and those who are not members of the BBC, NPA or CBC must contact t
 he leader beforehand.*
