DESCRIPTION:A four night, mostly off-track, circuit of the Jagungal Wild
 erness area in Kosciusko National Park. Each evening will be spent at a 
 different historic hut or former hut site spread among this wonderful an
 d less-visited area of KNP. As part of the walk we'll traverse the sceni
 c Kerries Range, and momentarily duck out of the Wilderness area to clim
 b Mount Gungartan, which at 2068m is Australia's 13th highest mountain, 
 and the highest Australian mountain beyond the main range of Kosciusko N
 P. On the walk out we will pass a number of 19th Century gold mining sit
 es along Diggers Creek on the Snowy Plains. This trip is for members wit
 h the fitness and gear to safely and comfortably tackle a multi-day pack
  hike in very remote country. We will pull some long and occasionally ve
 ry scrubby days, and there's a fair chance of snow at the higher elevati
 ons. If we haven't hiked together before it'd be appreciated if you'd le
 t me know of your recent overnight hike experience and general level of 
 fitness. The walk will be reviewed if the weather is looking severe (hea
 t, rain, wind, snow).
