DESCRIPTION:A four night, mostly off-track, circuit of the Jagungal Wild
 erness area in Kosciusko National Park. Each evening will be spent at a 
 different historic hut or former hut site spread among this wonderful an
 d under-visited area of the Great Divide. As part of the walk we'll trav
 erse the scenic Kerries Range, and momentarily duck out of the Wildernes
 s area to climb Mount Gungartan, which at 2068m is Australia's 13th high
 est mountain, and also its highest mountain outside of the main range of
  Kosciusko NP. On the walk out we will pass a number of 19th Century gol
 d mining sites along Diggers Creek on the Snowy Plains. This trip is for
  members with the fitness and gear to safely and comfortably tackle a mu
 lti-day pack hike in very remote country. We will pull some long and occ
 asionally very scrubby days, and there's a fair chance of snow at the hi
 gher elevations. If we haven't hiked together before it'd be appreciated
  if you'd let me know of your recent overnight hike experience and gener
 al level of fitness. The walk will be reviewed if the weather is looking
  severe (heat, rain, wind, snow).
