 rk in the Orroral Valley, we follow the track to the saddle and then dow
 n to the end of the track at Nursery Swamp. We cross the swamp and then 
 climb off-track approximately N up through thick scrub to a rock slab wi
 th lovely views across to Nursery Hill and beyond. After having lunch an
 d time to explore along ridge there is a descent from the end of the sla
 b down the hill to return to the cars. The swamp might be very wet after
  the rain, so expect wet boots OR bring garbags to keep your boots dry i
 f we have to wade through. The scrub is thick in places so long pants /g
 aiters and gloves are needed for the off-track section. **Distance:** 13
  km. Climb: about 400m. BBC level: Medium 9 to 10. **Map:** Rendezvous C
 reek. **Weather** forecast (for Canberra): cloudy, min 8 to 14 rain 1 to
  6 mm **Meeting point:** Kambah Village shops (Marconi Cres, opposite pe
 trol station). Be ready to leave at **8.30 am**. Cars: 100 km ($14). *Th
