Let's spend Thursday morning exploring this beautiful grassy box woodland, recently saved from being included in the North Weston development. Off track through some dry eucalypt country with surviving old growth trees; down a grassy spur to the Molonglo River,and back to a rocky knoll with magnicent views over the whole of the 'Western Edge' of the ACT and the mountains beyond.

Terrain information
This is terrain known as Grassy Box Woodland - so plenty of uneven ground, fallen timber and some prickly shrubs. Dress appropiately and bring a hat, water and morning tea.
Transport information
Meet at the start of the walk on Uriarra Road at 9am, parking off the road right after the last cleared land being developed
