Vegetation includes Snow Gums, Red Box, Yello w Box, Apple Box, wattles, native grasses, and seasonal native orchids. Wildlife commonly seen includes Eastern Rosellas, Kookaburras and other woodland birds, Eastern Grey Kangaroos, and reptiles such as Common Bear ded Dragons and various skinks. The route combines defined fire trails, walking tracks, narrow footpads, and short sections of light off-track w alking in open grassy woodlands. Terrain is undulating and uneven in pla ces, with minor obstacles including roots, loose stones, and small rocky sections. Given the hikes linear distance, elevation gain and the natur e of the terrain (surface, vegetation, steepness) the hike is likely to be moderately demanding and take approximately 3.5hrs to complete. It is suited to walkers with a fair to moderate level of fitness with an abil ity to hike 3.0-4.0 hours over an undulating and uneven terrain at a ste ady pace and in the past 3 months have successfully completed at least o ne hike of similar nature. This walk intentionally balances social walki ng with short, clearly defined periods of quiet, attentive mindful walki ng and a brief sit spot to foster a more immersive experience of and a d eeper engagement with the landscape. Participants should be comfortable with occasional silence and willing to engage respectfully with this rhy thm of walking.
