Vegetation includes Snow Gums, Red Box, Yellow Bo x, Apple Box, wattles, native grasses, and seasonal native orchids. Wild life commonly seen includes Eastern Rosellas, Kookaburras and other wood land birds, Eastern Grey Kangaroos, and reptiles such as Common Bearded Dragons and various skinks. The route combines defined fire trails, walk ing tracks, narrow footpads, and short sections of light off-track walki ng in open grassy woodlands. Terrain is undulating and uneven in places, with minor obstacles including roots, loose stones, and small rocky sec tions. Given the hikes linear distance, elevation gain and the nature of the terrain (surface, vegetation, steepness) the hike is likely to be m oderately demanding and take approximately 3.5hrs to complete. It is sui ted to walkers with a fair to moderate level of fitness with an ability to hike 3.0-4.0 hours over an undulating and uneven terrain at a steady pace and in the past 3 months have successfully completed at least one h ike of similar nature. This walk intentionally balances social walking w ith short, clearly defined periods of quiet, attentive mindful walking a nd a brief sit spot to foster a more immersive experience of and a deepe r engagement with the landscape. Participants should be comfortable with occasional silence and willing to engage respectfully with this rhythm of walking.
