Easy-Medium Wednesday Walk, 6 May. - #2 Lees Creek and Namadgi NP (BBC)

This walk is to appreciate the tall riverine trees and creek vegetation in the wet, lower portions of the Brindabella Range. The walk is a there and back on fire trails. We start the walk at the locked gate on Warks Road (698870), walking up Warks Road along Lees Creek, then 1.5 km up Blundells Creek Road which follows a side creek. The fire trails are little used with gentle grades.
Distance 14 km, total climb ~270 m.

Grading BBC 6.
Cars 74 km ($11),( 8 km of narrow gravel road).
Meet at 8:15 (leaving 8:30) at the Weston Creek Tennis Courts car park, in Dillon Close, which comes off Namatjira Drive directly opposite and north of McDonalds at Cooleman Court.
Those doing their first Wednesday Walk, and those who are not members of the CBC, BBC or NPA, must contact the leader to discuss the level of difficulty of the walk.
