This is a 2 day, 1 night walk in the Morton NP.

We start our walk at Wog Wog Camp Ground. Following the Wog Wog Walking Track we will visit Corang Peak and Corang Arch on our way to our camping spot for the night at Burrumbeet Brook camping area. The site does have a drop Loo. In the morning we head out and return via the northern track visiting a great little waterfall and large pool on the Corang River, we may take a dip here if time permits. Leaving there and again time permitting we may visit Corang Lagoon, avoiding the private property (before anyone asks me). After that we head back to the cars.

Day 1 we cover about 14.5 Km
Day 2 we cover just over 16 Km depending on which route time allows and how we feel.

Please consider your fitness.

Overnight experience is perferred, however not esstential, if this is your first overnight please call to discuss first,

The walk is mostly on track or footpad, no scrub is anticipated, we may have water crossing but I expect we can step/hop over these, some rock scrambling is to be expected. While not freezing overnight, the temperature could drop quite low. Please ensure you are self sufficient for 24 hours + and have all the required equipment for an overnight walk, useful guide can be found here if you are new to overnight walk:

Water can be got from Burrumbeet Brook and Canowie Brook and the first day abd again on day 2 and also from Corang River, Puri Tabs and or water filters are recommended.

If you need to hire any gear, reach out to the Equipment Officer, Rob, at equipment@canberrabushwalkingclub.org.
