There are two full months in the month of May. This date the moon will be 99.2% illuminated and it is the night before the 2nd full moon. Starting at 3.30pm, we enjoy a short wander off track through open grasslands in the Pinnacle Nature Reserve to reach our moonrise viewing point - a lookout point off Tully Boundary Track. We then head westwards along fire trail with a short detour to another nice vantage point, then complete a loop along on a combination of fire trails and single trails to reach our sunset viewing destination. Here, enjoy some nibbles, maybe a warm drink, whilst admiring the sunset. Finish off by visiting the Pinnacle (our highest point at 710m), and then head back to the cars. All up 6km's. Moon rise is at 3.50pm and sunset is 4.59pm. Bring some nibbles, maybe a warm drink/thermos, water, warm layers and a headlamp just encase.
