Canberra is known as the bush capital, but much of our bushland is under significant threat. As the city continues to grow, the Government is continuing to look for more land for housing and other development. Of particular threat is the Western Edge, on the west of Molonglo, and important grasslands in Canberra's east. At this talk, Dr Simon Copland, Executive Director of the Conservation Council ACT, will talk about these threats and what the Council is doing to save our precious bush.
He will discuss how we can allow our population to grow without destroying the bush capital at the same time.
