Gooroo NR like you may not have seen it before. From Wildbark, we’ll head south then up onto Sammy’s Hill from the SW. Descending to the SE, we’ll drop into Sullivans Creek and follow it down through the canyon for around 1.5km. Our next objective is Burnt Stump Hill for some tree hugging. The next leg is the usual route to the north over some of the eastern hills – Gecko Hills and Old Joe Hill. We re-enter the protected area through the Buru (Kangaroo) gate and head to a pleasant knoll to the N of Sammy’s Hill. From there, it’s SW to join the Earth to Sky Track and back to Wildbark. Around 12km and 450vm, BBC grade 9, NPAACT grade 2B, CBC grade M/M. We’ll try for gates, but there may be a couple of fences to cross.
MEETING PLACE AND TIME: Wildbark Rosenberg St Throsby 8am.
BRING: Morning tea, lunch, water. Dress in layers for the forecast weather.
Those doing their first Wednesday Walk, and those who are not members of CBC, BBC or NPA should contact the leader to discuss the level of difficulty of the walk
