 er: Janet Duncan (0423 213 679) While driving past the Arboretum on the 
 Tuggeranong Parkway, I noticed just how beautiful the forests were, show
 ing dramatic autumn colouring. This E-M Wednesday Walk will be to enjoy 
 Autumn in the Arboretum and possibly see some fungi. Please meet and par
 k by 9.30am in the Cork Plantation carpark which is the first right turn
  after entering the Arboretum. From there we will wander in the Cork For
 est to see if we can find any mushroom Amanitas. These are the bright re
 d with white spots mushroom, then up and over short hill to the Wide Bro
 wn Land Lookout to view the Forests autumn colours. From here walk down 
 through the Maples and Oaks Forests to the front dam. We will continue t
 o walk in a clockwise direction to the southern border, returning up to 
 the Dairy Farmers Hill lookout where the different forest designs should
  be apparent. We descend walking through the colourful larches and birch
 es forests to the back dam and over to STEP, the only forest with a mult
 itude of native plants. After passing the cafe, yep pop in if you wish, 
 back to cars using the zigzag path and walk though more forests with aut
 umn colours. Leaving at 9.30am means we should miss the heavy traffic on
  the Tugg Parkway, bring morning tea and lunch and prepare for slow walk
 ing to absorb and enjoy the autumn colours. Distance ~9kms Climb ~200m B
 BC 5, CBC Short/Easy Those doing their first Wednesday Walk, and those w
 ho are not members of the CBC, BBC or NPA, must contact the leader to di
 scuss the level of difficulty of the walk.
