Winter's day - northern route to Brandy Flat Hut and a little beyond.

Celebrate the first day of winter (and its a public holiday in the ACT:)) walking along the northern route to Brandy Flat Hut and a little further along the southern route. On route to Brandy Flat Hut, we will take a short diversion off trail near Reedy Creek fire trail to enjoy a different vista and have a morning tea break. Then continue, passing Brandy Flat Hut and after approx 2km's reach a high point on the fire trail to be rewarded with magnificent views over the Gudgenby valley and surrounding mountains of Yankee Hat, Mt Gudgenby. After reaching this destination( high point), we head back to Brandy Flat Hut to have a very relaxed lunch. In the theme of sharing, participants are encouraged to bring a plate of something yummy to share with everyone for lunch! Participants may also like to make a warm cuppa. It's our 3rd year, doing this and everyone enjoys delicious treats, each other's company in beautiful surroundings. After, lunch, we return along the northern route (without the diversion) back to the cars.
