A Practical Map and Compass Exercise in Callum Brae Nature Reserve for all those who realise that losing your phone and its navigation app doesn't have to be the end of the world. Learn how to navigate with a map and compass. This valuable, traditional skill can get you out of serious trouble when modern technology lets you down. Places limited.
Participants are given a route card and map segment. We navigate several legs round the Nature Reserve.
IMPORTANT - Participants need to bring their own flat-bed compass. Beg, borrow or steal (not recommending this last option) but bring one!
The exercise works best with a small group - 2 or 3 participants with a facilitator.
