Family adventure walk - a rocky creek in Rob Roy Nature Reserve
Sat 09th May 2026
An afternoon walk designed for families with children aged 5 to 12 years. The walk will start on the edge of the suburb of Banks and go 1.5. km up an unnamed rocky creek. There is no track: the creek terrain is steep, rough and great fun for the kids. (The photo shows the creek with more water than usual.) Adults as well as kids will need to use hands to haul themselves up rocks in places. Return by the same route. The afternoon timing aims for sunshine in the creek rather than chilly morning shade. Bring a snack. When you book, please add a note to your Booking with the first and last names of all adults and all kids in your group and ages of the kids. Children younger than five may need to be carried in a back pack; please discuss with the leader first if you want to bring a child under 5. Co-leader: Lorraine Tomlins.
