Join me for a wander around Black Mountain Reserve on a 6km loop, followed by a 1 hour guided 'South-west WA biodiversity hotspot' Themed walk at the Botanic Gardens.
We initially climb up towards the Little Black Mountain fire trail to head over Little Black Mountain on a narrow bush track and then make our way up towards the 'Hat Band/ Forest Loop' track, completing a full loop enjoying views along the way. Depending on time, we will head back down via the main summit trail or an alternate track to make our way to the entry gate of the Botanic Gardens near the Actew Substation. Entering the Botanic Gardens, we will join a lovely guided walk at 11am and learn all about the riches of WA flora, with their amazing adaptations to the environment. The guide will also share about the efforts taken to get them to grow at the Botanic Gardens in very different conditions to their native habitat.
Please book on Bilby. I have liaised with Friends of ANBG for a group of 10.
