Medium/Hard Wednesday Walk - Wed 1 Apr – Rock outcrops below Mount Boboyan (BBC)
Wed 01st Apr 2026
Bookings available to active members only.
No bookings required for joint club Wednesday Walks
Leader: Prue Deacon (6286 1573, 0487 388 959 (SMS), prue.deacon@ozemail.com.au).
We walk on the Yerrabi Track to the Boboyan Trig (Mount Boboyan) for great views and morning tea. Then we descend steeply, roughly northwest about 1km to find and explore some rock outcrops. Next we contour clockwise around Mount Boboyan at height 1300, with lunch along the way, before climbing to the rock slabs near the top (more great views), returning to the cars on the Yerrabi Track.
The walk is mostly off-track, with difficult scrub often above head height. The contouring and climb back up to the slabs is exploratory – if the scrub there is easier than expected, then we might have time to walk across to Hospital Hill and back. Long pants and/or gaiters, and eye protection are needed. Also sunscreen and plenty of water.
Distance: 6-8 km. Climb: 450-500m. BBC level: Medium (10). Map: Yaouk. Weather forecast: mostly sunny, min 10, max 27
Meeting point: Kambah Village shops (Marconi Cres, opposite petrol station). Be ready to leave at 8.30 am. Cars: 110 km ($15).
This walk is for members of the BBC, NPA or CBC clubs. Those doing their first Medium/Hard Wednesday walk must contact the leader to discuss the level of difficulty of the walk.
