Parking on Captains Flat Rd we explore the eastern side of the reserve in attractive open woodland. Morning tea at a suitable high spot after a scrubby crossing of Scabbing Flat Creek. Cuumbeun nature reserve is a delightful and under-appreciated area of bushland within easy reach of Canberra
