Starting from a car park just before the Corin Forest Snow Park, we climb up to Smokers Gap. We then follow Smokers Trail for a short while before branching south-easterly to parallel a tributary of Blue Gum Creek (North). After some nice walking through open forest we cross a marsh and Blue Gum Creek (North) to then climb up to the Blue Gum Hill Ridge. Rock platforms on the northern side afford views back down to Blue Gum Creek (North). The ridge is quite extensive and occasionally scrubby and occasionally marshy. We cross to its southern side where there is another rock platform with spectacular views to Booroomba Rocks and beyond. We then loop back roughly towards the way we came. Gloves, gaiters, water and eye protection are recommended, and perhaps poles for the fire trail part of the walk. This is a joint walk with the Brindabella Bushwalking Club. Walking time of about 7 hours. About 10km with a climb of 500m.
