Day 0: Travel to Kosci region for early start on Day 1, if you wish. Opportunity to camp in Jindabyne out the back of walk leaders house.
Day 1: Depart Jindabyne by 0700 for Guthega Power Station carpark, from where we will ascend to Horse Camp Hut on the western side of the Munyang River Valley and set up camp outside the hut. In the afternoon, some local exploration as time permits. Overnight at Horse Camp Hut
Day 2: We will travel up the Munyang valley to White's River Hut and return via another route. The route and activity details will be chosen to keep us out of any extreme winds as far as possible, or to enjoy a beautiful bluebird day if we are so fortunate. Overnight at Horse Camp Hut
Day 3: Break camp and return to Guthega Power Station by about midday for return trip home
All participants should be competent fit overnight walkers. Prior snow camping / snowshoeing experience is not essential but please advise with your booking if you have not overnight camped in snow or snowshoed before. Children over 14 are welcome under supervision of a parent/guardian and with the Acceptance of Risk & Obligations completed with booking. The Club has snowshoes for hire for members participating, subject to other bookings and availability.

Terrain information
Alpine, initial climb and final descent on a steep fire trail which may or may not have snow cover. Otherwise (mostly) gentle hills and valley traverse from campsite.
Transport information
To be confirmed once bookings are completed. Intention is to share transport from Canberra, so far as possible using cars with Kosciusko Park permits. Please advie when booking if you have a car with a permit. Canberra CBD to Guthega Power Station is 215km.
Accommodation information
Friday night option to camp in Jindabyne at back of walk leaders home if you travel down on Friday afternoon. In addition to standard overnight equipment, you will need: - all weather tent with vestibule - sleeping bag suited to -10C minimum - an insulated sleeping mat PLUS an underlay of closed cell foam for sleeping on snow - a snow shovel - facility to pack out ALL waste
A multi day backpacking or base-camping activity.
