DESCRIPTION:**No bookings required for joint club Wednesday Walks** This
  is the first of two easy/medium Wednesday Walks run by the Brindabella 
 Bushwalking Club on 4 March. Leader: Kathy Handel ph 0447 289 638, khand
 el@bigpond.net.au, on behalf of the Description: This is a beautiful for
 ested hillside on the western edge of Tallaganda State Forest, west of M
 t Cronin. The walk is hilly, through tall native forest, with a hut, a r
 uin, and a viewpoint from a flat granite outcrop. The terrain is mostly 
 old fire trail, with some single-file track and some off-track through s
 emi-open forest. Grade (BBC 8): Distance 10km; ascent 400m Meet: Queanbe
 yan Spotlight car park (corner Yass Rd & Monaro Hwy), leaving at 8:30am 
 Transport: 90km, $13 per passenger. Note: A car shuffle is required. AWD
  cars are desirable as a short part of the forest road is rough and ston
 y. Map: Bendoura 1:25000, Captains Flat 1:25000 Weather forecast: possib
 le shower, temp 15-29 in Canberra. The forest is a few degrees cooler. R
 eminders: Bring water, lunch, hat, gaiters for the off-track section and
  poles for steep bits. Those doing their first Wednesday Walk, and those
  who are not members of the CBC, BBC or NPA, must contact the leader to 
 discuss the level of difficulty of the walk.
