This activity continues to be held in me mory of his contribution to the Club over many years. We'll arrive to Ch arlotte Pass on Saturday lunchtime, and check out on Monday, once again staying at the Southern Alps Ski Club. There is the opportunity for anyo ne who would like to spend more time to do so, though this is by prior a rrangement. True to Stan's legacy, this is very much a social activity w ith some bushwalking activity to balance it out. Therefore, it is intend ed to be a relaxing weekend with a variety of walks to cater for the maj ority of abilities within the group, potentially from L/R/X if there is anyone wanting to lead such a walk, to M/E-M options. All very much depe nd on the weather conditions in the mountains on any given day. Suggeste d walk options: SATURDAY afternoon - Mt Stilwell circuit from the lodge (~5km, 2hrs return); alternatively, one of the three sections of the Sno wies Alpine Walk. SUNDAY - - Charlotte Pass Village to Perisher Valley ( 13km, 397m) car shuffle required; or Little Twynam and Mt Twynam circuit (14km, 784m); Pipers Creek Trail circuit (15km,290m); or if anyone is k een, the Main Range track. MONDAY - Porcupine Rock (4.5km, 130m); or Mt Perisher Loop (8km, 410m); or Rainbow Lake (3km, 50m). Though if you pre fer to just chill out in the Lodge and read a book or paint, then that's fine too. Walks for the next day are discussed the evening prior. Cater ing: Dinner catering is on the basis of everybody brings something to sh are. There will be a roster drawn up for this to make sure we have enoug h of everything. Self-catering arrangements for breakfast and lunches. T here are no supplies available in the village, so best to bring whatever food and drinks you require to meet your own needs for the duration.
