This present ation will cover the planning, purchasing, preparation and menu items fo r multi-day bush walks. The types and varieties of food that we have tak en on recent bush walks will be discussed. Also, commercially bought, ma ke your own, or a combination of both will be compared. Nutrition values will be looked at. The differences between air-dried and freeze-dried w ill be reviewed. Samples of food will be made available. We will talk ab out cooking methods and fuel usage. Also, you are invited to bring your own favourite recipes/ideas for light-weight food options and tell the a udience about them. About the presenter: Bruce and his partner Monika ha ve undertaken numerous multi-day walks over the last 5 years. Some recen t trips have been up to 18 days in duration.
