E/M Wednesday Walk – School Holiday Walk, Isaacs Ridge, Scheafe Trig circuit
Wed 14th Jan 2026
Bookings available to active members only.
This CBC sponsored walk is fairly central, relatively short and largely shaded in recognition of the weather in January and the opportunity for members to bring older children with walking experience or teenagers for an activity during the school holidays.
We start at the open ground near 27 Buntine St. in Isaacs, walk above “Spoonville” and “Rockberg” before turning north on some of the Centenary Tail tracks to the Isaacs Drain Fire Trail for a break near the “Christmas Pudding” then off track on a footpad via the Allocasuarina plantations to the Scheafe Trig to catch the amazing views! From there we follow a rougher part of the Centenary Trail to the Isaacs Ridge Nature Reserve before dropping down on the Isaacs Ridge Fire Trail to the Isaacs Horse Trail, the Spine, the Isaacs Houses Track and return to the cars.
This is a pleasant walk with gentle climbs, interesting country and frequent grand views of our region in all directions.
