DESCRIPTION:**No bookings required for joint club Wednesday Walks** This
  Easy to Medium graded walk will be led by John Ellis (mob 0414372919) o
 n behalf of the Brindabella Bushwalking Club. In this walk, modified for
  the expected high temperatures, we will do a figure eight of the Gungah
 lin Hill area from a track just off the Barton Highway, south of the Gun
 daroo Drive roundabout. It is a pleasant area in which to walk with the 
 walk itself being no more than five kilometres in total. Most of the wal
 k is a combination of undulating grassland with patches of gum trees and
  bushland. There are quite a few kangaroos in the area and lots of bird 
 life. There are two hills to climb - Spiders Hill and Gunghalin Hill - b
 ut they are not particularly steep and each takes about five or six minu
 tes to climb. If we leave the parking area at about 8.30am we should be 
 back at the cars by about 10.00am. The easiest way to get to the startin
 g point is to follow the Barton Highway towards Dickson from the large r
 oundabout at the intersection of Gundaroo Drive and the Barton Highway. 
 There is a dirt car track (obviously on your left) 1.5km from this inter
 section which leads to the car park for the start of the walk. Meet at t
 he starting point at 8.20am for an 8.30am start. Bring morning tea with 
 you and plenty of water! Weather Forecast: 14'c - 36'c hot and sunny. Th
 ose doing their first Wednesday Walk, and those who are not members of t
 he CBC, BBC or NPA, must contact the leader to discuss the level of diff
 iculty of the walk.
