DESCRIPTION:A summer riverside walk to an area of dramatic Shoalhaven Ri
 ver rock strata scenery. We walk initially through fairly open forest, p
 ast some shafts from gold mining days, and then descend to the river ban
 k for some strenuous rock-scrambling past unusual rock formations, casca
 des, large pools and occasional beaches. At least two wades of the Shoal
 haven, probably up to knee deep and opportunities for cooling swims. Thi
 s walk is on crown land and river reserve. Suitable for experienced off 
 track and rock scrambling walkers, must be able to swim.
