EASY/MEDIUM WEDNESDAY WALK - 17 DEC 2025 (BBC) - CHRISTMAS WALK TO LEGOLAND

This Easy to Medium graded walk will be led by Janet Duncan (0423 213 679) on behalf of the Brindabella Bushwalking Club.
As a trial, there are two Easy/Medium walks this week, with the other being led by Andrew Struik for CBC. The aim is to cater for the large numbers who have been participating lately.

An Easy Christmas Walk to Legoland,  cook pancakes and enjoy the view.  Meet at Kambah 8.30am.

Please wear something Christmassy and bring something Christmassy to share as this is a Christmas celebratory  Walk.

We travel via Drakeford Drive, Naas Rd,  and Apollo Road to the Honeysuckle Creek Campground, then take the 4WD track to the Collimation Tower car park on Orroral Ridge. From here we explore the interesting rock formations and cave in the Legoland area.

I plan on cooking pancakes, well, it's too hard to make mince pies. If you wish to help, please bring a small gas cooker, frypan and pancake mixture already mixed. (Pancake mixture is one egg, a good half cup milk, add enough flour to make like a consistency like custard, or if you wish double the quantities). Enjoy lunch with pancakes, topped with golden syrup and your contributions of Christmassy food. Depending on the weather we have lunch either in the huge cave or on the ledge looking down Orroral Valley below. Enjoy the views and take time to chat,  reflect on the year and consider what you may like to do next year.

This is an easy walk about 6 kms return, plus 50m down and up.  Cars: 82km ($12). Map: Corin Dam.

Meet at Kambah Village car park, corner Drake  ford Drive and Marconi Cres, opposite the petrol station, ready to leave at 8.30am.

Those doing their first Wednesday Walk, and those who are not members of the CBC, BBC or NPA, must contact the leader to discuss the level of difficulty of the walk.
