On this circular walk you will be looking for remnants of ten different types of gum tree (eucalypts). We will start by walking along a low ridge from Cook to the Aranda bushland. From there we pick up the Frost Hollow trail and look for our first tree - an Apple Box. We then head towards the Frost Hollow itself, passing Blakely’s Red Gum, Yellow Box and Candlebark on the way. We then pass some Snow Gums before walking up hill in the Aranda bushland. On the way up look for the Red Stringybark and the Broad-leaved Peppermint trees, further uphill we should see Red Box. The track takes us downhill again passing Scribbly Gums and Brittle Gums.
You may need a torch for the return journey depending on how fast we walk. Gaiters are also recommended for walking in the areas of tall grass.
