Visit these two historic locations near southern Canberra. Farrer’s grave (and that of his wife Nina) is on ‘Lambrigg’ where Farrer did his ground-breaking wheat research. Permission has been sought to walk on this property. We’ll then drive to Tharwa and walk to the unique De Salis cemetery along a track beside the Murrumbidgee River. Total around 5km and 100vm. Meet at Lanyon Marketplace car park up from Maccas nearest to Tharwa Drive to carpool and leave promptly at 5.45pm. Drive is 25km, cost $12 per vehicle. Sunset at 7.45pm. Bring a torch just in case.
