William Naismith was a Scottish mountaineer who in 1892 developed a time estimation formula for distance on a route of varying conditions. (Have a look here, section 11 Are We there Yet?) Join me on a circumnavigation of Mt Taylor and ‘Little Mt Taylor' to see how the rule applies. Drive yourself to the Sulwood Drive main entrance to the Mt Taylor Nature Reserve to meet at 5.30pm. Around 7km and 200vm. Sunset at 7.38pm. Bring a torch just in case. If weather looks dodgy, please text me on 0417436877 from 3pm and I will respond ON or CANCELLED.
