Walk

BOOKINGS NOT REQUIRED FOR Joint Clubs Wednesday Walks
This CBC sponsored walk combines parts of two sections of the Canberra Centenary Trail to make for a most enjoyable, rewarding and not too difficult day out. The entire walk is on well used and well-marked and established tracks and fire trails.
We will meet near the Australian War Memorial then car shuffle to the trail head at the Hughie Edwards VC Rest Area on the Federal Highway at the northern end of the Majura Road. The walk follows the Centenary Trail section 3, with an ascent to Mt. Majura, and then continues through section 2 and bushland to Mt Ainslie and a pleasant descent to the Australian War Memorial on the Mount Ainslie Kokoda Memorial Trail and on to the parked cars.
This is a pleasant walk with gentle climbs, interesting country and frequent grand views of our region in all directions.
Meet at car park on Cobby Street, opposite Ferdinand Street, Campbell.
