Mount Jerrabomberra Nature Park (E-M Wednesday Walk, CBC sponsored…no need to register)
Wed 22nd Oct 2025
Bookings available to active members only.
Mount Jerrabomberra and surrounds.
(No need to register for this walk…simply turn up at the start as described below on Wednesday morning)
This is a very pleasant and varied walk around the Mount Jerrabomberra Nature Park which will take us firstly through some of the little known green avenues through the urban areas in the western part of Queanbeyan. The nature park has a myriad of trails to choose from, but we will firstly explore some of the tracks around the base of the mountain before taking the trail to the top. The way to the top is along a wide and well graded fire trail, it winds its way through well shaded forest and has a very gentle incline all the way up. The view from the top is magnificent and is also a great spot for our lunch break. We will descend via mainly bush trails to the base then make our way back to our starting point through some suburban green paths to complete our 13km loop.
We will meet at Bicentennial Park in West Queanbeyan. To find it, enter “68 Crest Park Parade, Queanbeyan West” into your car GPS. The entrance to Bicentennial Park carpark is across the road from this address.
