Two walks, both about 16kms, with day packs, on trails within Booderee National Park, Jervis Bay. On Saturday, we will do the Booderee Circuit trail (16.7 kms) which is in the southern part of the park and will mainly take us on well formed tracks through shaded forest. There are several diversions from the main loop track where we can visit small coves and beaches as well as several excellent viewing opportunities from various headlands. Similarly, on Sunday, we will do the Telegraph Creek to Governor Head walk (15.8kms) which is a loop walk in the northern part of the park that also has several nice beaches, headlands and views. Depending on the weather and how the group feels, we can either spend more time at a particular beach for a swim or visit more places off the main walking tracks.
I have made a booking for a tent camping site for myself for Friday and Saturday nights at the Tasman Holiday Park - Jervis Bay …at 785 Woollamia Rd, Woollamia, which is just on the outskirts Huskisson , but it’s entirely up to you where you would like to stay in the Jervis Bay area. Keep in mind though, that you will need to be ready to start walking at the start of the Booderee Circuit trail at 8:30am on the Saturday morning.
Note that a park entry fee applies - $20 per car per day.
We will be car camping overnight and walking with our daypacks during both days.
Let me know if you’d like to share accomodation with others and I will put you in contact with them.
Option also to join in to a group dinner at a restaurant on Saturday night in Huskisson …or somewhere nearby.
