MEDIUM/HARD WEDNESDAY WALK - 15 OCT 2025 - TIDBINBILLA SKYLINE (BBC)

This Medium to Hard graded walk will be led by Andrew Cupit (0478309791, cupitandjen@outlook.com) on behalf of the Brindabella Bushwalking Club.
The walk starts at Fishing gap carpark in Tidbinbilla nature reserve. We’ll follow the new Tidbinbilla skyline track from Fishing Gap to Mountain Creek car park over Mt Domain, Tidbinbilla Mt, Tidbinbilla Peak, John’s Peak and Camels Hump (5 peaks). It is a long distance with plenty of elevation and great views. The recce took 9 hours (with two strong walkers). I expect it will take longer with a larger group. Therefore, this walk is for strong experienced walkers. It is all on the new track, but many parts are rocky with steep climbs. Bring plenty of water (at least 4 litres) and extra snacks are recommended (lunch, morning and afternoon tea). Gaiters and walking poles may be useful.

Meeting point: Lanyon Valley Marketplace shops in time to leave by 7am. The gates at Tidbinbilla open by 7.30am (and close by 8pm – summer times).
Cars: 70 km ($10 per passenger). We will drive to Fishing Gap carpark and then do a car shuffle, to leave one car at Mountain Creek car park.
