Enjoy the easiest walk in the new Mindjagari Track area in Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve. Although it will still make us puff!
From Mountain Creek car park we’ll walk around 6.5km up the well-maintained Camelback Fire Trail. It’s steep in places, climbing around 450 vertical metres. But we’ll take our time, admiring the wildflowers and other changing flora and views.
At the base of Camels Hump, there’s an optional climb to the top, an additional 400m return and 100m climb. You’ll be rewarded with absolutely staggering views. The final footpad route involves some mild exposure.
We return the same way.
In all, the hike is around 14-15km and 700 vertical metres of climb.
