MEETING TIME AND PLACE: Doesn’t the name just encourage participation in this walk? Please meet at the intersection of Harold White Avenue and Pearlman Street, Coombs, at 5:50pm for a 6:00pm departure.
WALK DETAILS: This walk crosses the Molonglo River before climbing to Bold Hill, then proceeding to the hill with an unfortunate name, or perhaps you would prefer the less alarming name Barrer Hill that the ACT authorities prefer? You can decide if misery is an appropriate name for this hill with its fine views over the new Molonglo suburbs. We will then walk down to Misery Point and its weird sculptural installation. Most of the walk is on fire trails but we will also be walking across open country with some low-growing blackberries so long pants are recommended. Please bring a torch and drinking water. We return to the meeting point via Southwells Crossing.
A walk or similar activity with a duration of a day or part day. No overnight gear required.
