An 8 km gently undulating circuit which connects some of the rocky features of the Gudgenby Grasslands. We start from the Boboyan Road, just south of the Hospital Crk crossing, and within 10 minutes are in an interesting part of the Gudgenby River where it flows through a rocky gorge. After following the gorge for a couple hundred metres, we step across with dry feet and scramble out of it, climbing about 20 vertical metres on grassy slopes to some broad rock balconies with views. Then its up Middle Creek on its true left, with views across an extensive swamp, pausing at rocky outcrops. After lunch at the base of a spot where Middle Creek cascades over and under some large granite boulders, we'll cross the creek. For the creek crossing there is a choice - a dry foot crossing that requires a downwards leap, or a detour through some scrub that ends in a flat, shin-deep wade. We head back towards the cars, gently downhill most of the way, partly on track and partly on short grass. Kangaroo sightings guaranteed.

Terrain information
Mostly off-track in grassland. Most of the grassland is kangaroo-mown short grass; about 600 metres is tussocky and occasionally boggy. A few minutes of blackberry-dodging in the Gudgenby River, and a few minutes of scrub later. The rocky bits are the hardest sections, but we will take them slowly.
