The aim of t hese walks is to “expose members of the public to the area, to promote the Conservation Council’s campaign to protect the Western Edge. We j ust want more people out there to be connected to and to care about the area”. The western edge is defined as bordered by the western sides of Molonglo Valley, Western Creek and Tuggeranong in the east, the Murrumb idgee River in the west, and the Molonglo River in the north-east. Tuesday 14 October: Mt Stromlo and Brown Trig 3. Sunday 23 November: Murrumbidgee River Walking Track south from Cotter 4. Wedn esday 7 January 2026: Tongs Hole to Namarag along the Molonglo River. ** Saturday 20 September is already booked out. The same trip, as an extra, will be run on Sunday 21 September** **Each activity needs a leader (I' ll lead 20 and 21 September to get an idea of how things go) and an expe rienced member to help monitor up to 10 members of the public.** (I am i nitially marked as leader only to validate leader and helper bookings.)
