MEDIUM/HARD WEDNESDAY WALK (BBC) - Pryors Hut via Stockyard Spur

This Medium to Hard graded walk will be led by Phillip Hope (0405 916 004) on behalf of the Brindabella Bushwalking Club.
This walk starts from Corin Dam with a steep climb of 500m up Stockyard Spur to the helipad for morning tea. Continue climbing on a fire trail through bush to a south-facing lookout platform. From here, down to Pryors Hut for lunch. Return the same way.
Distance: 15km. Climb: 900m. BBC level Medium (10). Map: Corin Dam.
Weather forecast: for Tuggeranong: min -1 max 15 BUT for Mt Ginini: min -3 max 3, partly cloudy. Expecting snow along the ridge after the helipad so warm clothing including gloves/mittens essential. Pack an emergency thermal and some extra snacks. Gaiters and poles recommended.
Meeting point: Kambah Village shops (Marconi Cres, opposite petrol station). Be ready to leave at 8.00 am. Cars: 70 km ($10 per passenger)
This is a harder walk suitable for fit off-track walkers who are members of the BBC, NPA or CBC clubs.
Those doing their first medium/hard Wednesday walk must contact the leader to discuss the level of difficulty of the walk.
