Sun up to Sundown near Stanthorpe - North NSW
Mon 22nd Sep 2025
Bookings available to active members only.
Red Gorges, Deep Waterholes and Rocky Creeks - Sundown National Park is reminiscent of the Kimberley or Carnavon Gorge but not as far. Located near Stanthorpe on the NSW -Qld border it makes an ideal September location for a three or four day wander up the Severn River Gorge. Depending on experience we could be in two groups, meeting half way to swap car keys and a chance to socialise together for the night deep in the gorge or split into two groups - an "easier" and a "harder" group . We are unlikely to meet any other walkers. Be prepared for boulder hopping, swims and some heat. Transport by private car with shared costs.
