The Moloneys moved from Calvary to better country and water. Let’s see if we can find evidence of the new location. From near Point Hut Crossing, walk downstream on the true left side of the Murrumbidgee River. Views to Tuggeranong on the other side. Visit the spectacular ‘Toad’s Folly’ gorge on the river. Cross Freshford Creek to visit a map-marked Tg162 trig, then further west under the power lines to search for Maloneys. Return similar. Around 18km and 360vm climb. (There is a small chance I may have to cancel this hike.)
