The walk starts on the North Black Range fire trail, is partly explorat ory and mainly off-track in Tallaganda National Park. We take a meanderi ng route, initially to the north-east, through forests and swamps, later visiting South Black Range Trig, which is perched on top of a large gra nite boulder. Much of the area was burnt in 2019 so expect thick patches of regrowth. Total distance of about 15 km and a climb of 500 m. Suitab le for experienced off-track walkers. The planned walk may be changed if Tuesday's rain extends well into Wednesday.
