Bookings not required for Wed walks. BILLY BILLY ROCKS CIRCUMNAVIGATION Leader: Peter Dalton (0414 363255). We park alongside Corin Dam Road near Billy Billy Creek and head off along a disused road for a while before starting up the spur on the relatively scrub-free route. The climb is not too steep and there is a good morning tea spot after about an hour. Then it is on to the massive Billy Billy Rocks. We will go around to the back, or northern side, and work our way to the top for magnificent views (weather permitting) and lunch. We’ll continue the circumnavigation and return to the cars via the route we came up on, although we might go via Bogong Cave if we are doing well for time. Distance: 8 km. Climb: 450 m. Map: Corin Dam. BBC Grade: Medium (9) Weather Forecast for Canberra: 0-13 deg, dry, with light winds. Cars: 70km, $10 per passenger.
