Bookings not required for Wed walks. MT MAJURA AND MT AINSLIE NATURE RESERVES Leader: Elaine Atkinson (0410 154 133). We climb Mt Majura following a lovely footpad through the bush to the 2 Hackett Reservoirs, then continue on this track joining the saddle track to Mt Majura for morning tea. (about 1 ½ hrs). A short rough scramble down the side (poles might be useful) to pick up a track around the back of the nature reserves to the lookout at Mt Ainslie. Before crossing to Mt Ainslie Nature Reserve, there is a climb through bush to our lunch stop with views towards the airport. Retrace part of the last section of the Mt Ainslie track before heading down a roughish track and through lovely bush back to the cars. Distance: 13 to 14 km Climb: 450m Meet: at the carpark on the corner of Kellaway Street and Phillip Avenue Hackett, at 8:45 for a 9am start.Canberra forecast: Mostly sunny, 4 to 13C, 30% chance of 0 to mm rain.
