Jagungal Wilderness, Koscius ko National park (L/R/W/X) UID:20251005T080000-3369@https://mybilby.com DTSTART:20251005T080000 DTEND:20251008T140000 DTSTAMP:20251005T080000 GEO:-36.16871;148.52751 DESCRIPTION:A three-night circuit in the remote eastern section of KNP. *The Itinerary....* **Day 1 (11km):** Parking on Nimmo Road, we will wal k the Snowy Plains fire trail to Cesjack's Hut for night 1. **Day 2 (13k m approx. All off track):** *a big day.* We'll walk west from Cesjack's for around 6.5km to summit Mount Jagungal (hopefully with snow left on i t). After this we'll head SSE for around 6.5km to spend night 2 at the s pectacular Bluff Tarn. Given it's the spring melt, there's a good chance we'll encounter boggy ground and slow going on day 2. **Day 3 (8.5km or 13km):** Bluff Tarn-Kidmans Hut *or* Mill Flat (if we are feeling like a shorter day 4 or if Kidmans is occupied). Likely boggy ground between Bluff Tarn and Kidmans Hut **Day 4 (10.5km or 6km):** Kidman's Hut/Mill Flat to the car via Teddys Creek fire trail As much of this walk is at 1 700m+ in late spring, I anticipate the possibility of squalling wind, sl eet, and maybe snow. However this isn't a snow trip and it won't run if there's been heavy dumps in the preceding week or so, or if poor weather is forecast. With DST having *just* started we'll have a useful amount of daylight for the walking, and to relax in camp. If we haven't yet hik ed together it'd be appreciated if you could message me to indicate your previous overnight hike experience, and to confirm you are fit and adeq uately equipped for the trip. Or ask a leader you've recently walked wit h if they'd vouch for you. URL:https://canberrabushwalkingclub.mybilby.com/activities/3369 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
