Wednesday E/M Walk: Nursery Creek, Plus
**No bookings required for Wednesday Walks** From the Nursery Creek carpark, we take the Nursery Swamp walking trail which takes us - surprise surprise - to Nursery Swamp. The first 2 to 3 km of this walk are reasonably steep. However, this part of the track is quite well constructed. Further along the trail becomes generally more basic, and by the time we reach the Swamp it is little more than a basic footpad. There are some massive granite boulders along the way, and the vegetation on either side of the trail is reasonably thick at times. Nursery Swamp is better described as a large fen, i.e. a peat-accumulating wetland. At Nursery Swamp we will have morning tea, before heading further south along a network of footpads and animal trails to explore the other end of the swamp. Our explorations completed, we commence our return journey along the same track, back to the cars. This is not a long walk, and depending on the speed of the group, we could finish relatively early. So it's your decision whether to bring lunch or not.
