We start our walk at the Boxvale Walking Track car park. Taking an anti-clockwise direction we first visit the Forty Foot Falls, we very recently did a recce and I can confirm that there is still some water flowing, we have morning tea here. From there we follow the the Nattati river using the old walking track, there is some damage and much build up of debris on parts of the track, this will slow our progress while we safely negotiate fallen tree etc, but again following our recce it is passable. We will stop for lunch before we take the steep ascent out of the gorge following the old rail track, this is a hard climb and will test you at the end of the day. Once at the top we will take a detour to the gorge lookout. Then we head back to the cars, passing through the old rail tunnel, which will be wet, dark and slippery (Torches are Essential here). Our last stop will be to take a quick look at the Welby Reservoir.
