If that is the case, we can arrange that. You need to be able to be at the camp ground ready to roll by 7:30am on Sunday. S hould more than one person want to do this, there would be the opportuni ty for car pooling early in the morning from Lanyon Market Place! We can organise that through our message board. Join me on a long day of walki ng in the south of Namadgi National Park. We'll walk a loop starting at Mount Clear Campground via Demandering hut over Mount Clear . To maximis e daylight on the Sunday walk, we will arrive near the track head the ni ght before and camp at Mount Clear Campground. This loop has been walked before by the bushwalking club but it is new to me. We will have maps a nd GPX files which I thank John E for and which I will share with you. T he plan is at follows: > Meet at Lanyon Market Place behind McDonalds ca rpark at 3pm on 26th April (ANZAC day, Saturday). > Drive to Mount Clear Campground and set up camp for car camping. Overnight gear required. Ta ke warm gear, it can get rather cold this time of the year. > At 7:30am Sunday morning we will start our walk. Daypacks are required with first aid gear. Bring sun protection, water, snacks, and depending on the weat her forecast also rain protection. > The 28km may take us 9 to 10 hours, including 60min of breaks. We will be back at the cars hopefully Sunday evening between 16:30 and 17:30pm. Fitness: The start of the walk will be rather steep (35%) up. We'll walk the loop clock-wise. The walk is ra ther long and to make it back on time we need to be strong walkers. Ther e will be some off track walking involved. Weather: I typically feel com fortable to walk with forecasts up to 5mm rain, especially when not too cold. So far it looks good. We monitor over the next weeks leading up to the walk.
