If you've never thought of FNQ as a place to bushwalk, you may be surprised to see the variety of beautiful landscapes in this part of Australia. In June 2025, our party completed day walks on the Atherton Tableland, in Mossman Gorge, the Daintree Rainforest and coastline, to the Quinkan Aboriginal paintings in sandstone country near Laura, the waterfalls around Bloomfield, and the limestone country of Chillagoe Caves.
Meg will present this illustrated talk will also touch on much harder extended exploratory walks, which some of us completed in the 80s and 90s in the rainforests north of Cairns. There should be something for everyone!
