An opportunity to closely observe wild caught venomous snakes of our region to further understand their behaviors to help you to stay safe in their presence when out bushwalking. This unique activity is offered by members of Queanbeyan Wildcare who are very experienced snake handlers. It is intended primarily for leaders but if there are places available then members may join. It will be held at 84 McIntosh cct Murrumbateman. It is a very special and limited event.

PPE is mandatory for this event. Please read this section carefully. Outside in the sun so wear your best sun protection. You will be getting very close to venomous snakes in a supervised, controlled environment. Long, loose fitting pants and footwear that does not have mesh uppers are essential to participate. Gaiters if you have them but do not wear tight/close fitting pants or runners/trail runners. The top material of your footwear needs to be solid not a nylon mesh.
Transport information
Arrive at 9 am for a 9.30 am start. Drive yourself to 84 McIntosh Cct Murrumbateman. Morning tea will be provided but please bring your own cup.
A walk or similar activity with a duration of a day or part day. No overnight gear required.
